Starting Your New Application for Registration

Welcome to the application to register as a Medical Radiation Technologist, Electroneurophysiology Technologist, Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Pre‑Regulatory Record), or student member in Alberta, Canada.

We recommend visiting the Applicants webpage before beginning your application to identify your application route, understand registration requirements, and review the fee schedule.

You May Apply Here If:

  • You are an Alberta or Canadian graduate who has passed the Certification Examination and wish to apply for general registration; or
  • You are practising as a technologist in another Canadian province and wish to apply for general registration; or
  • You are a recent Alberta or Canadian graduate who has not yet passed the Certification Examination and wish to apply for temporary registration; or
  • You are a student enrolled in a post‑secondary program in Alberta and wish to apply for student membership.

DMS – Pre‑Regulatory Record (PRR) Applicants

You may apply here if:

  • You are currently practicing in Alberta; or
  • You have completed a minimum of 800 hours of practice in Alberta within the last five (5) years.

Review the DMS section of the website before beginning your application. This section contains important information regarding the Pre‑Regulatory Record, application requirements, FAQs, and the fee schedule.

Please note that if you were included on a previous DMS roster, you must apply again to the new Pre‑Regulatory Record.
